Some work from my time in the studio today

I’ve started working with this image. My final painting for the exhibition will look something like this, I really don’t want to make a photo-realistic self-portrait.
I’m experimenting with obscure figures with no eyes. In this one, I seem to be wearing a mask.
There is still a bit more I need to do on this for it to be complete; I noticed that the shoulder is too low, and I need to touch up some parts with a brush.

This is a sample of what my mixed medium piece will look like. I may still use this as one of my final pieces, but I want to expand on this a little. This is one of the many prints I spent the lesson doing. I’m thinking I really should start scanning images onto the computer, rather than taking photos from my mobile.
Self portrait ( me about 2 years ago), Katatonia ‘Dead Letters’ lyrics, and a photograph I took of a forest (I live infront of a forest, so awesome!)

The amazing David Firth!

I have always been a fan of ‘Salad Fingers’, but I was unaware that this guy made other animations as well! That is until my brother showed me this video.
I think that my artwork is missing this kind of ‘creepy’ element. My work is often dark, but somehow cutesie. I can learn a lot from this artist! ^o^

Work in-progress

Transfer print from a photoshoot with Narny

I decided that I don’t post often enough, so here is a sample of one of my final prints for the year (in print-making class).
The actual print will be on a larger, off-white paper, and will look more interesting. I have not yet decided what to do with the background!

Complete! Check out my progress. I originally just drew this as a quick sketch, a small exercise while I was watching some horror movies at home. I am teaching myself about figurative drawing, and thought her pose in this photograph was interesting.
I then wanted this one to be as colourful as possible!
Beautiful Avril ❤
